학력

보하치 전문의는 자그레브 의과대학 졸업 후 니키차 가브리치 교수의 멘토쉽 하에 전문의를 취득했다 그의 주요 연수영역은 굴절수술로, 가브리치 교수의 멘토쉽 외에도 런던, 취리히, 바르셀로나, 쾰른, 스트라스부르에서 해당분야에 대한 연수를 거쳤다.

자그레브 대학교 대학원에서 생체의학 및 보건학 석사학위를 취득했고 현재는 펨토세컨드 레이저와 기계식 마이크로케라톰의 비교연구를 주제로 박사과정 이수중에 있다. 보하치 전문의는 리예카 의과대학의 연구조교수로도 활동하고 있다.

전문영역
 

보하치 전문의는 굴절수술분야에 특화된 의사로, 굴절수술센터 내에서 10명의 굴절수술전문의로 구성된 팀을 이끌며 레이저 굴절수술과 관련한 최신의 기술을 선도하고 있다. 복잡한 레이저 수술분야, 예컨대 각막흉터 및 손상 또는 모든 종류의 초기굴절수술을 집도하고 있다.
 
보하치 전문의는 현재까지 약 12,000건 이상의 수술을 집도해왔다.

신기술의 도입
 

보하치 전문의는 크로아티아에서 최초로 펨토세컨드 레이저를 사용하기 시작한 첫 번째 의사들 중 한명이다. 또한 레이저 노안수술 및 SMILE이라 불리는 새로운 레이저 시력교정술을 시도한 첫번재 의사이기도 하다.

연구 및 저술
 

보하치 전문의는 엑시머레이저를 통한 고도난시의 치료와 관련한 가장 중요한 논문들에 색인된 8건의 논문을 발표했다.

보하치 전문의는 국제굴절수술학회 정회원, 유럽백내장굴절수술학회 정회원, 크로아티아백내장굴절수술학회 정회원이며 이들 학회가 진행하는 연례회의에서 강연자 또는 교수로 활발히 참여하고 있다
