Doctor Boras graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb in 2007. Upon completion of one-year internship in Clinical Hospital Sestre Milosrdnice, he starts specialization in ophthalmology in 2008, under the mentorship of Professor Nikica Gabrić, PhD He passed specialist exam in 2013.
Work area
The main fields of interest of Doctor Boras are posterior ocular segment diseases, i.e., retina diseases. Daily activities include diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in patients suffering from various diseases of posterior part of the eye, such as macula degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and others.
In his work he uses the most modern diagnostic tools as swept source OCT, fluorescein angiography, fundus autofluorescence. In the treatment of retina diseases he uses the most modern medicaments such as intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF group of medicaments, and for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy and retinal rupture he uses the most modern Pascal laser.
