Ophthalpreneurs recently hosted Ivan Gabric, MD, who gave three important lectures on the topic of innovations in ophthalmology.The lectures took place as part of the Ophthalpreneurs Congress held in Stresa, Italy, from March 14-17.
The main focus of the congress was to discuss how to bring modern ophthalmology closer to patients and educate them about services such as laser diopter removal and refractive surgery for presbyopia.
Ivan Gabric, MD represented Svjetlost Eye Clinic, the world's leading ophthalmological institution when it comes to the application and development of advanced ophthalmology solutions.
Svjetlost is currently the development center for laser dioptre removal for two leading companies, Schwind Eye Tech Solutions and Johnson & Johnson.
The clinic is also collaborating with Italian company SIFI and American company Johnson & Johnson to develop new intraocular lenses.
During the congress, doctor Gabric showcased his entrepreneurial side by presenting the experience and the option of withdrawing funds from EU for advanced projects, such as the use of artificial intelligence to improve the outcome of eye surgery. Colleagues from around the world got to know more about doctor Ivan Gabric's work and the potential for innovations in the field of ophthalmology.
