Will I have to wear glasses after cataract surgery?
The answer to the question of which lens is best is individual and, given the above, is not the same for all patients.
“Will I have to wear glasses after cataract surgery?” is the most common question among patients who are recommended to have the cataract surgery.

Considering that natural lens is removed in cataract surgery and is replaced with artificial lens by standards of contemporary ophthalmology, the next question that arises is which lens is the best.

Depending on the condition of the eye, general health, age and needs of the patient, the answer may be that they will not need glasses at all, that they will use them only for reading.
Those with a slightly more complicated situation will need glasses for distance and proximity. The answer to the question of which lens is best is individual and, given the above, is not the same for all patients.
The most important thing, after a detailed examination and extensive discussion, is to choose the appropriate technology that provides the most for that particular patient. It is a common opinion that the more expensive is better, and this approach confirms that this is not always the case, but that more expensive can only mean more opportunities that, unfortunately, some cannot use due to eye health.

So, we can confidently say that there are "many the best" lenses. For some, a standard monofocal lens that provides good distance vision, for some an extended focus lens or an EDOF lens that provides good distance and medium distance vision, while for some it is a multifocal lens that provides good vision regardless of distance is the best.

By introducing the latest technologies from world-renowned manufacturers of diagnostic devices, intraocular lenses and devices on which surgical procedures are performed, we strive to be guides to our patients to choose together what is best for them.
