Doc. dr. sc. Ratimir Lazić was included in the top 7 vitro-retina surgeons at a meeting held in Boston

Boston (USA), 11-15 August 2017 - Retina Department Chairman of the Clinic Svjetlost doc. dr. Ratimir Lazić  has for the 12th time in a row participated at the biggest and most relevant world's retina specialist’s annual meeting (The American Society of Retina Specialists - ASRS), which was this last August organized in Boston

During this year’s meeting, assistant professor Lazić has participated at a panel RENAWSl together with seven of the most renown vitreo-retinal surgeons, world famous surgeons such as Carl Claes, Marc Mura, Klas Pack, Kouros Rezai, at which occasion he presented and commented on some of the most complex cases of vitreo-retinal surgery before more than one thousand retinal experts from all over the world.

This is a very special acknowledgment to both our surgeon and the Svjetlost Clinic as at this panel the most difficult cases are being exposed as well as individual original surgical approaches to complex retinal cases, just as the title of the expert’s panel says ¨When the going gets tough, the tough get going¨.  Special interest of the experts has been drawn by a video made by assistant professor Lazić related to the treatment of chronic macular holes by transplantation of peripheral retinal pieces inside the macular hole.
