Eye Clinic Svjetlost has marked 20 years of work

Eye Clinic Svjetlost has marked 20 years of work. The ceremony was attended by more than 700 guests, among them the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović, Vice-President of the Croatian Parliament Milijan Brkić, Minister of Health Milan Kujundžić and Presidency delegate of Bosnia and Herzegovina Rade Bošnjak. The ceremony was attended by former Presidents of the Republic of Croatia, Stjepan Mesić and Ivo Josipović, and three former Prime Ministers, Franjo Gregurić, Zlatko Mateša and Jadranka Kosor.

"They often ask why I named the clinic “Svjetlost" and not "Gabrić". Because light represents energy and a new beginning, while darkness means chaos.  In every man there is  a  fight between darkness and light, darkness in the form of fear and light as the desire to realize dreams. I hope that the Clinic "Svjetlost" will help everyone to always feed your wishes in life, "said professor Nikica Gabrić, founder and director of the Clinic Svjetlost.

The President of the Republic of Croatia Grabar-Kitarović pointed out in his speech that the Clinic "Svjetlost" by its example sends a clear message that you can succeed in Croatia and that despite the difficulties, Croatia can be a natural habit of success. - The example of "Svjetlost" is very important today when to young people in Croatia is imposing unperspectiveness, instant solutions and imperatives of overnight success as the only alternative. Sustained growth and development are the only safe way to keep young people, waking up through personal development and advancement, comparability and competitiveness on the international and regional markets, said the president. – I am very happy because of the achievements of the Clinic "Svjetlost" in the neighboring countries that are pointing to the opportunities and the need for continuous development of economic cooperation, added Grabar-Kitarović.
 
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Clinic Svjetlost, Professor Gabrić has presented 20 acknowledgments for a special contribution to the construction of the Clinic Svjetlost.

After the official part there were performances of Tereza Kesovija, Petar Grašo, Toni Cetinski and Paganini band members who took care of the excellent atmosphere.
