President Milanovic held a meeting with CSCRS members.
The President of the Republic, Zoran Milanovic, hosted the delegation of the Croatian Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery during the 14th CSCRS Congress held on September 29th in Zagreb. The organizers of the congress are the Croatian Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost from Zagreb.
"New Trends in Ophthalmology" gathered 400 ophthalmologists from all over the world. Over 40 lecturers presented the latest achievements and knowledge in ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery, refractive surgery and treatment of retinological diseases.
One of the most famous ophthalmologists in the world, Lucio Burratto, a pioneer of refractive surgery, received a lifetime achievement award at the Congress for his contribution to the development of ophthalmology.
The Croatian Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery was founded in 2005 and is a member of the European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Along with Nikica Gabrić, the meeting was attended by Professor Lucio Buratto (Centro Ambrosiano Oftamolico), Sheraz Mansoor Daya, MD (Center for Sight), Marcela Milagros Lagana, MD (Center for Sight) and Ivan Gabrić, MD (Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost).
