Education

Doctor Karla Bodakoš was born in 1999 in Osijek, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated in 2024 with a research thesis titled "Analysis of Surgical Techniques in the Treatment of Myopia" from the Faculty of Medicine at J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek.
During her studies, she founded and led the student section for surgery, was a member of the editorial board of the student journal, and served as an officer of the International Medical Students' Association CroMSIC.
She regularly participates in congresses as an active participant and, during the summer months, goes on foreign exchanges where she further educates herself in Germany, Italy, and Romania. She has received the Dean’s Award for outstanding achievements twice.
Dr. Bodakoš has been specializing in Ophthalmology and Optometry since 2025 at the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost under the mentorship of Professor Nikica Gabrić, MD, PhD.
