Awards Presented to Those Who Contributed to the Development of Health Tourism

Svjetlost received an award for the development of health tourism.

As part of this year’s jubilee 10th CIHT (Crikvenica International Health Tourism) conference, which brought together more than 20 speakers from seven countries and over 300 participants at the Hotel Omorika and online, recognitions were also awarded to institutions and individuals who, through their work, have contributed to the development of health tourism in Croatia.

The award went to Svjetlost Special Hospital for Ophthalmology and was presented to Dr. Krešimir Gabrić.

The CIHT conference is the result of a collaboration between four organizations that have put Kvarner on the map of world destinations for rest and rehabilitation: the Crikvenica Tourist Board and the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster as organizers, together with Thalassotherapia Crikvenica and Terme Selce as co-organizers.

It grew out of a health tourism conference organized at Thalassotherapia Crikvenica in 2013, as part of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of tourism in Crikvenica.
