Biography

Education

Goran Sačer, MD graduated from the Fifth Gymnasium “Bogdan Ogrizović” in Zagreb in 1969. He obtained his medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 1976.

After completing internship at the University Hospital Center Zagreb (Rebro), he began his specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care in 1981 under the mentorship of Professor Jagoda Bolčić Wickerhauser. He passed his specialist examination in 1984.

Upon completing his specialization, he worked at the Medical Center Čakovec until 1985, then from 1985 to 1991 at the General Hospital Brežice (Slovenia), and from 1991 to 2009 at the General Hospital “Sveti Duh” in Zagreb.

Since then, Dr. Sačer has been working at the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost.

Area of Practice

He administers general, local, enhanced local, and regional anesthesia in surgical procedures on the anterior and posterior segments of the eye in children and adults.
