Ivan Samuel Modrić, MD

Ivan Samuel Modrić, MD was born in Duisburg, Germany, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated in 2023 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka (English-language medical program).

During his studies and early professional development, he gained experience working in a hospital environment, including volunteering in the integrated emergency department during the COVID-19 pandemic, for which he received the Dean’s Award.

After graduating, he worked in the prehospital emergency medical service of the Teaching Institute for Emergency Medicine of the City of Zagreb.

Doctor Modrić is currently completing his residency in Ophthalmology and Optometry at Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost under the mentorship of Prof. Nikica Gabrić, MD, PhD.

His work encompasses the anterior segment of the eye: cataracts, corneal and ocular surface diseases, and minor procedures.
