Biography

Education

Karla Bodakoš, MD graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, with a thesis on “Analysis of Surgical Techniques in Myopia Treatment.”

Doctor Bodakoš has received two Dean’s Awards for special achievements. During her studies, she founded and led the student surgery section. She was a member of the editorial board of the student journal and an official of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations CroMSIC.

She regularly participated in congresses as an active participant. She furthered her education through international exchanges in microsurgery at the International School of Experimental Microsurgery, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Policlinico di Modena, Italy.

Area of Practice

Karla Bodakoš, MD is a resident in Ophthalmology and Optometry at the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost, under the mentorship of Prof. Nikica Gabrić, MD, PhD.

Her work includes the anterior segment of the eye: cataracts, corneal and ocular surface diseases, and minor procedures.
