Lucija Žerjav, MD

Education

Lucija Žerjav, MD was born in Varaždin, where she completed her primary and secondary education.

She graduated in medicine from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 2021.

After graduating, she worked in the Emergency Department of Merkur University Hospital.

In 2022, she began her residency in ophthalmology and optometry at Svjetlost Eye Clinic, under the mentorship of Prof. Nikica Gabrić, MD, PhD.

During her residency she has worked in the anterior segment department, gaining experience in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disease, refractive surgery, and cataract surgery.

Area of Interest

Dr. Žerjav’s areas of interest are corneal disease, refractive surgery, and cataract surgery.

She took part in the Phase III clinical trial of the ELITA laser system, with a substantial role in organizing and running the study.
