Ante Barišić, MD, Head of the Cataract Department at the Svjetlost Eye Clinic, took part in the international “Innovations in Ophthalmology” symposium in Sofia, where numerous new technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases were presented.

Ante Barišić, MD presented the Svjetlost Eye Clinic’s experience with cataract surgery and refractive correction with the implantation of the Tecnis Symfony extended-depth-of-focus intraocular lens.

What makes this new technology particularly interesting is that it can provide good vision without glasses even for patients who previously were not candidates for multifocal lens implantation, including patients with diseases of the posterior segment of the eye, patients who have previously undergone laser vision correction, and patients with mild visual impairment (amblyopia).
