Educazione

Il Dr. Bohač si è laureato presso la Facoltà di Medicina dell'Università di Zagabria e la specializzazione in oftalmologia sotto la guida del prof. Nikice Gabrić. La formazione nel settore della chirurgia refrattiva è iniziata sotto la guida del professor Gabri e con l'ulteriore formazione a Londra, Zurigo, Barcellona, Colonia e Strasburgo.
 
Nella formazione scientifica, il dott. Bohač ha completato il suo studio post-laurea in Biomedicina e Salute presso la Facoltà di Medicina dell'Università di Zagabria. Nell'aprile 2017 ha difeso la sua tesi di dottorato su "Comparison of Mechanical Microseries and Femtosecond Lasers" e ha ottenuto il titolo di dott. sc. Nel 2021 viene conseguito il titolo scientifico-didattico di Professore assistente presso la Facoltà di Medicina dell'Università di Rijeka sul tema: "Chirurgia refrattiva corneale".

La sua specializzazione

Dr. Bohač si occupa di chirurgia refrattiva. All'interno del Dipartimento di Chirurgia Refrattiva è responsabile della gestione di un team di 10 chirurghi refrattivi e l'introduzione di nuove tecnologie nel campo della chirurgia refrattiva laser per migliorare ulteriormente i risultati. Specialità speciale è la sua chirurgia laser in casi complicati - cicatrici e danni alla cornea, oltre a precedenti interventi refrattivi di qualsiasi tipo.
 
La dott.ssa ha eseguito oltre 30.000 interventi di correzione di vista con laser finora.

Introduzione di nuovi metodi

È stata tra i primi medici nella regione ad usare il laser a femtosecondi. Inoltre è stata tra i primi medici che ha fatto gli interventi per la correzione di presbiopia con laser ed è stata la prima ad usare il nuovo metodo della correzione con laser SMILE.

Le pubblicazioni e le ricerche

Ha pubblicato 25 pubblicazioni nel Current Contents tra cui le più importanti sul tema del trattamento del forte astigmatismo usando il laser ad eccimeri.
