Svjetlost Eye Clinic Once Again Confirms Its Status as a Leader

Prof. Dr. Sc. Nikica Gabrić and Dr. Ivan Gabrić once again had the opportunity to take part in the presentation of a new device by the company Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision.

This time, the device in question was the VERITAS phacoemulsification device, used during cataract surgery to extract the eye’s natural lens and replace it with an intraocular lens. The device was presented to several hundred ophthalmologists through surgery performed on both eyes. During the procedure, Catalys, a laser for cataract surgery, was used, and the patient received Synergy lenses. Both the laser and the lenses were developed in collaboration between Johnson & Johnson Vision and Svjetlost Clinic.

With this, Svjetlost once again confirms its status as a leader rather than a follower – not only in Croatia and the region, but worldwide – in the provision of ophthalmological services and innovation.
