Svjetlost Eye Clinic Receives New Recognition

For over 11 years, Svjetlost Eye Clinic has collaborated with the German company SCHWIND Eye Tech Solutions, using their lasers for laser vision correction via the PRK and LASIK methods (1st and 2nd generation laser vision correction), as well as their diagnostic devices, as they are the best and most advanced on the market.

In 2020, the Clinic accepted their offer to participate in the development of their new ATOS laser for lenticular surgery (3rd generation laser vision correction). Assistant Professor Maja Bohač performed the first Smart Sight® procedure in Europe. Following Svjetlost, the procedure is now available in 70 clinics around the world.

A contribution of more than 600 notes, remarks, and instructions on how to improve the laser and the procedure itself was recognized through the awarding of reference center and development center status for the Schwind Eye Tech Solutions company. Their staff, as well as other doctors from around the world, regularly come to Zagreb and Svjetlost Clinic for training, so that their results can match those achieved at Svjetlost. This means that patients in Zagreb have access to the latest protocols, as well as the best devices this German company has to offer. But what makes the Svjetlost team even happier is that they actively participated in the development of a device now available on every continent, and that a part of their DNA is built into every procedure performed on this device.
